Plans for Concentration 5+
Finished my peacock picture. Didn't photograph so well though.
I think I've been moving away from my initial concept and I need to get back to it. There's something crazy and fantasy-esque about my first two pieces that just... doesn't click with the last two. They feel forced. Not that I don't like them, there's just something off about them. I need to be more cohesive I think. For the next few, I'm going to work small and make a series of artist trading cards. They'll be portraits mostly but I'll incorporate an element of fantasy into each as well as attempting to put more design into my top hats.
SO YEAH! That's pretty much it.

Wow, you're taking "working small" to a new level with the artist trading cards. (I might not be thinking of the right kind.) Anyway, that sounds like a good idea--I'd try that, but I think I'd go crazy.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, from what I saw of the previews you had a in a previous post, your new ones don't look horribly different than your first few. I wouldn't worry about it too much. They're all very creative and fun to look at. Good luck with everything!
I completely understand where your comming from about it feeling forced. When i feel that way i try to find an artist that i havent seen before thats cool! try that!
ReplyDeleteIn general I'm likein' what you're doing. It's a fantastic idea. I do also think that you should really stick to the sea creature top hat idea. Cuz I know that its VERY unique and I'm sure that you'll probably start a new trend and all that crap. SO! Slap you name on it NOW before someone steals it from you!!
